Earlobe Repair

Earlobe repair is a tricky surgical procedure.  Fortunately, Dr. Steven Dominguez has over 30 years experience in performing various ear surgery.

A torn earlobe repair may appear simple to the novice, however the procedure is complex and requires precise approximation and wound edge eversion of the front, back, and lower most point. If the complexity is not appreciated and precision is not obtained then you will end up with an inverted "heart" shaped earlobe. Occasionally a second surgery using a "Z" plasty is required.

An elongated earlobe repair from "hoops or tissue expanders" is an ultra complex procedure.  This repair requires excision of the elongated and redundant tissue and extreme artistic precision repair.  Occasionally, multiple surgical procedures are required to repair this deformity.
